Continuing Education - Information

Parkell’s Online Learning Center, powered by www.dentalaegis.com (hereafter “www.parkell.dentalaegis.com”) offers Continuing Education (CE) courses from the Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry through AEGIS Communications, which is an accepted Academy of General Dentistry Approved PACE Program Provider and an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. The formal CE programs of this sponsor are accepted by AGD for Fellowship/Mastership credit. All auxiliary courses are approved by the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc (DANB). “DANB Approval” indicates that a continuing education course appears to meet certain specifications as described in the DANB Recertification Guidelines. DANB does not, however, endorse or recommend any particular continuing education course, and is not responsible for the quality of any course content.

Conflict of Interest

AEGIS Communications provides 2 hours of Continuing Education credits for each article for those who wish to document their continuing education efforts. Upon successful completion of the CE quiz, a certificate can be printed immediately. Participants can log on at any time to view their test history documenting their accumulated credits.

Each participant achieving a passing grade of 70% or higher on any examination will receive a document of completion stating the number of CE credits earned. This form should be safeguarded and may be used as documentation of credits earned. Participants receiving a failing grade on any exam will be notified and permitted to take one re-examination.

Participants are urged to call their state registry boards for special CE requirements. A 10-question, multiple-choice test follows each CE article. The deadline for submission of quizzes is 24 months after the date of publication. The fee for one exam completed is FREE (2 credit hours).  For more information, please call 877-4-AEGIS-1 and ask to speak to the CE department.
